Why Blog?

I run a [very!] small animal educational entertainment business called Critters 2 Go.  Usually 1-3 times a month I pack up all my animals (except the fish, aquatic frog, feral cat, the rest of the hissers, and anyone not feeling up to travel) and teach a birthday party or school class all about where the animals are from, what they eat in the wild, and why we should be kind and respect animal life in all forms. I don't earn much, it's basically a hobby, but what I do earn goes directly to my animals' care, especially the rescues (the majority of my critters were rescues).

Some fans of Critters 2 Go (oddly, I do have them! Friends, previous party-goers, students, rescue groups, etc.) ask me about my HOME life with my animals. Because I don't have some commercial zoo or anything where they live, they live with me. Most of them in the family room I am typing from! Bratanik the Russian Tortoise is in the room off the kitchen by the porch door, the Madagascar Hissing Roaches are in the pantry (I know how that sounds, but they are very contained!), Cali the Semi-Feral Cat is outside (usually on the roof or in a tree), there are fish in my bedroom (like Miss DeSpot the Goldfish and Dune the Kuhli Loach) and Baby Fable the Chinchilla is downstairs for the summer (too hot upstairs for her, even with the A/C), but everyone else is pretty much takes over the family room. My pets are my life. And if you follow this blog, then I guess they'll be part of yours as well!
